Adding the Jewish Component to Hospice Care

About Us - We believe that no Jew should face illness alone.

Our Mission

The Jewish Hospice & Chaplaincy Network is the organized response of the Southeast Michigan Jewish community to provide care and support for terminally and chronically ill patients and their families. The network seeks to insure that "No Jew is Ever Alone" as they approach the end of their lives.

Our network partners with every hospice and health care system to provide compassionate and loving care. Hospice emphasizes pain control, symptom management, and supportive care that enhances quality of life. JHCN also provides spiritual care, guidance, volunteers and social work.

Through its Lifelinks program,Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network helps access the myriad of Jewish community services available to individuals and their families.

Since its inception in 1999, the network has served thousands of Jewish families in the spirit of "Chesed Shel Emes", eternal loving and compassionate kindness. The network was created by and works in collaboration with Jewish Family Service, Michigan Board of Rabbis, Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and The Jewish Fund.
